I really like what we discussed on Tuesday about b&w footage- they’re really able to give an uncanny and dreamlike effect.
I’m just posting up some of the videos Donnie talked about and also some of my own faves:

This one’s amazing!!
Although now, with more advanced technologies, we can’t really recreate things in the same way… it’s interesting to think about it, how hard getting something to look a certain way was before programs like Modul8. I think it’s something we should consider and try out if we can… to be analog.

Excellent findings, Fei. Definitely recognized the John Whitney piece, but the Snow Canon and Digital Dance were new to me. Really good, I am going to write a follow-up to your post.
